OM MITT ARBEID MED BØKER
Eg har laga bøker sidan 1984. Alle mine bøker gir eg ut sjølv på eige forlag. Forlaget heiter Zeth Forlag. Namnet kjem frå performancen Zeth (1993), og boka Zeth (1996). Eg arbeider både visuelt og tekstbasert med bøker. Mange av bøkene inneheld korte tekstar, heilt ned til berre to ord.
I 1985 laga eg to bøker som er grunnlaget for måten eg arbeider med tekst på, And Visible Words and og Walking Frog and Ghostjokes.
VISUELT
Fleire av mine bøker har reint visuelt innhald. Til dømes Galaksesamlinga (2007) og The Speech (2012). Shine (2006) er ein serie portrett trykt i lakk, noko som gjer nesten heile boka usynleg, om ikkje lyset relekterar portretta. Den kanskje mest særskilde boka er Det gjennomskinlege (2018) er ein samling barneportrett frå 40 - 50-talet, trykt med letterpress på transparent plast slik att alle andleta blir til eitt.
TEKST
Mitt tekstarbeid er stort sett ein måte å lage bilde med ord, handlingsforløp eller situasjonar. Nokre få bøker inneheld berre ein forteljing. Til dømes: Den andre hendinga (2010). For det meste er det tekstsamlingar i ulike format. Nokre har ei form som blir følgt: Andre oppdagingar (2007) og Som (2021) Men ofte er det ulike poetiske, undrande, humoristiske, filosofiske tekstar som blir samla i ulike bøker. Øvingsserien (6 bøker, 1994-2025) er dei desidert mest populære bøkene. Utvalde (2010) inneheld tekstar frå 25 ulike bøker frå perioden 1985-2009, er ein fin inngang til mitt tekstarbeid.
UNDERSØKINGANE, OM NOKO OG PERFORMANCEFOREDRAGA
Tre performanceforedrag: Er (2003). Alt og ingenting (2004) og Skansemyren Ballklubb 1992-2014 (2005) var litt av starten på mange bøker og performanceforedrag. Alt og ingenting, bok (2004) gav form til både foredragsprosjekta og bokserien Om-noko, 20 bøker, (2011-2014). Dette prosjektet har påverka mange andre tekstarbeid og førde og til ein ny serie: Pitte litt serien (2024-2026).
DET KOMPAKTE, THE TRANSPARENT SERIES OG THE UNTOLD SERIES
Tekstarbeida som er meg nærast, er kanskje dei bøkene som har eit veldig kompakt innhald. Til dømes: Pust (2006), Everything (2006), Eg er (2009) og Som (2021). Dei to visuelle seriane The Transparent series (2021-2022) og The Untold series (2022-2024) har element som er i slekt med det kompakte, men her med eit visuelt uttrykk i samband med poetiske og filosofiske titlar.

ABOUT MY WORK WITH BOOKS
I have been making books since 1984. I publish all my books myself through my own publishing house. The publishing house is called Zeth Forlag. The name comes from the performance Zeth (1993), and the book Zeth (1996). I work both visually and text-based with books. Many of the books contain short texts, down to just two words. In 1985 I made two books that are the basis for the way I work with text, And Visible Words and and Walking Frog and Ghostjokes.
VISUAL
Several of my books have purely visual content. For example, The Galaxy Collection/Galaksesamlinga (2007) and The Speech (2012). Shine (2006) is a series of portraits printed in varnish, which makes almost the entire book invisible, unless the light reflects the portraits. Perhaps the most special is The Translucent/Det gjennomskinlege (2018) is a collection of children's portraits from the 40s and 50s, printed with letterpress on transparent plastic so that all the faces become one.
TEXT
My text work is largely a way of creating a picture with words, course of action or situations. A few books contain only one story. For example: The Other Happening/Den andre hendinga (2010). For the most part, they are collections of texts in various formats. Some have a form that is followed: Other Discoveries (2007/2008) and As (2021) But often there are various poetic, surprising, humorous, philosophical texts that are collected in different books. The Exercise series, 6 books (1994-2025) is by far the most popular books. Selected (2010) contains texts from 25 different books from the period 1985-2009, is a nice introduction to my text works.
THE RESEARCH, ABOUT SOMETHING AND PERFORMANCE LECTURES
Three performance lectures:Is (2003). Everything and Nothing (2004) and Skansemyren Football Club 1992-2014 (2005) were a bit of a start for many books and performance lectures. Everything and Nothing, book (2004/2009) gave shape to both the lecture project and the book The About Something series, 20 books (2011-2014). This project has influenced many other textual works and led to a new series: The Teeny Tiny series (2024-2026).
THE COMPACT, THE TRANSPARENT SERIES AND THE UNTOLD SERIES
The textual works that are closest to me are the books that have a very compact content. For example: Breath/Pust (2006), Everything (2006), I am (2009) and As (2021). The two visual series The Transparent series (2021-2022) and The Untold series (2022-2024) have elements that are related to the compact, but here with a visual expression in connection with poetic and philosophical titles.

Det andre kapittelet er ein dialog mellom ein stein og mosen på steinen. Det startar med at steinen presenterer sitt misnøye med livet generelt og mosen spesielt. The Stone the Moss is book no. 9 in the Pitte Litt series. The book has two chapters: The Moss and the Stone and The Stone and the Moss. The first chapter is a collection of photos of stones with moss. The second chapter is a dialogue between a stone and the moss on the stone. It starts with the stone presenting its dissatisfaction with life in general and the moss in particular. The moss listens to the stone's frustrations, but doesn't quite know how to respond to the brutal criticism.

The Space of Not-knowing is book no. 8 in the Teeny Tiny series. The book deals with the two spaces the Space of knowing and the Space of not-knowing. How they relate to each other and what this relationship leads to. The book has clear links to the books Everything and Nothing (2004) and About That Without Meaning (2013). The Space of Not-knowing maintains the drawing technique from the two books. In addition, the visuals in the book are gradually overwhelmed by colorful photographic qualities.
